Where can I find out if my treatment is covered?

The initial stage is to consult with your insurance provider to see if the dental procedure you require is covered. You may typically do so by signing into your account on their website or by calling them. Once you have that information, our staff can help you estimate how much of the therapy will be reimbursed and how much you will have to pay out of pocket. We would also gladly charge your insurance directly so that you do not have to worry about it. Preventative treatment, such as cleanings and check-ups, is generally entirely or partially covered by insurance, although more costly operations may have co-pays or deductibles.

What if I have no insurance?

To make dental treatment more accessible for everyone, we offer a variety of payment alternatives. We take cash, checks, and major credit cards, as well as loans. If you have any concerns regarding how to pay for your treatment, our staff would be pleased to assist you.

Being aware of common insurance terms

Typical insurance terminology to be familiar with includes:

Deductible

A deductible is the amount of money you must pay before your insurance provider begins to contribute. For example, if your deductible is $200 and you need a $1,000 surgery, you will pay the first $200 co-pay, and your insurance company will cover the remainder.

Copay

A copay is a fixed price that you must pay each time you see the dentist. For example, if your co-pay is $20 and you need a $100 operation, you will pay the $20 co-pay, and your insurance company will cover the remainder.

Annual Cap

An annual limit is the most money your insurance provider will pay for dental services in a given year. When you exceed that limit, you are responsible for paying the full cost of any further treatment.

Coinsurance

Coinsurance is a portion of the cost of a treatment that you must pay. For instance, if your coinsurance is 20% and you need a $100 surgery, you will pay $20, and your insurance company will cover the remainder.
