Opt-in

This page is published by ACM Dental Care, P.C., doing business as Dentist on Madison, a dental office at 274 Madison Ave, Rm 202, New York, NY 10016. It explains how you can choose to receive text messages from the practice and what you agree to when you do. Reading this page does not sign you up for anything.
Where you can agree to texts
The online appointment request, the Second Opinion request and the Check Your Insurance form each include two optional checkboxes. Both are unchecked when the form opens, and you can send your request without selecting either one:
- Texts about your request and appointments. The checkbox reads: "I agree to receive text messages from Dentist on Madison about my request and my appointments. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
- Marketing texts. The checkbox reads: "I agree to receive marketing text messages, such as offers and promotions, from Dentist on Madison. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
The two boxes are separate choices. You can agree to texts about your appointments without agreeing to marketing texts. Agreeing to either kind of text is never a condition of receiving dental care or buying any service from the practice.
What does not sign you up
Entering your phone number in a form, the chat or a voice session does not sign you up for texts. Neither does asking the office to call or email you. The website's contact form and the Cherry financing inquiry form do not include text-message consent, and the permission they ask for covers a reply by phone call or email only.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies. Texts about requests and appointments depend on what you have asked for and when your visits are. Marketing texts, if you choose them, depend on the offers the practice runs. Message and data rates may apply; check your mobile plan for the charges that apply to you.
The sender
Texts from the practice will come from its registered text-messaging number. The practice's text messaging is still being set up, and the sending number will be listed in the SMS Terms and Conditions before texts begin. The office phone number at the bottom of this page is for calls.
STOP and HELP
Reply STOP to any text from the practice to stop receiving its texts. Reply HELP for information on how to get assistance. You can also ask the office for help by phone or email. The Opt-out page explains how stopping texts works.
Your privacy
Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are not shared with other companies for their own marketing. The Privacy Policy explains how the practice handles information from the website, and the SMS Terms and Conditions describe the text-message program in full. The Terms and Conditions, Cookie Policy and Accessibility Statement cover the rest of the website.
Text messaging is not an emergency service. For a medical emergency, call 911.
