Finding your insurance company on this list does not guarantee coverage. Your benefits depend on your specific plan.
Why the plan matters more than the company name
Insurance companies sell different plans to different employers and individuals. Two people with cards from the same company can have different networks, covered services and limits. Many plans also sort dental services into groups, such as preventive, basic and major care, and cover each group at its own level. So the company name alone can't tell you what a visit or a treatment will cost you.
How to check your coverage
Start with your insurer. Call the member services number on your insurance card, or sign in to your account on the insurer's website, and ask:
- whether our office is in your plan's network
- whether the treatment you need is covered, and at what level
- how much of your deductible and annual maximum is left this benefit year
- whether waiting periods or frequency limits apply
Then contact our office. Tell us the name of your insurance company and your plan, and ask us about the treatment you're considering and its fees before you decide.
Please don't send member ID numbers or photos of your insurance card through the general contact form, the chat or email. Ask our team how to share plan details when they're needed.
Check Your Insurance online
Check Your Insurance on our website compares your insurance company with the carriers we accept and shows whether it's on our list. A match is not an eligibility check or a verification of your benefits. It doesn't confirm that your plan covers a particular treatment, and it doesn't guarantee payment. Those decisions belong to your insurer.
When you're ready to visit, request an appointment online and our front desk will call you back to confirm a time.
If your insurer isn't listed
If you can't find your insurance company here, or you aren't sure which name applies to your plan, call us before you assume either way. The company on your card and the network your plan uses are not always the same.
If you don't have dental insurance
You can pay with cash, a check or a major credit card, or ask us about financing through Cherry. Our website's "Ask about Cherry financing" form sends your contact details, and a question if you have one, to our team. It is an inquiry, not a credit application or an approval; Cherry runs its own application and makes its own decision. See Payment Options and Cherry Financing for details.
Common insurance terms
Deductible
The amount you pay for covered services in a benefit year before your plan starts paying its share. Some plans don't apply the deductible to preventive visits.
Copay
A fixed dollar amount you pay for a covered service or visit, set by your plan. Some dental plans use coinsurance instead, which means you pay a set percentage of the cost of a covered service and the plan pays its percentage.
Annual maximum
The most your plan will pay toward your dental care in one benefit year. Once the plan reaches that limit, you pay the full cost of further treatment until the next benefit year begins. Depending on the plan, the benefit year may follow the calendar year or another 12-month period.
